That is what is on the menu. If anything about your car changes it, you will hear that from us before the work starts rather than after — the same promise we make on every other job here.

What we cannot tell you until we see it is how long

Removal is the one job on this menu where the car tells you almost nothing. What matters is the film that is on it: how old it is, what it was to begin with, and whether it has been baked on for two summers or twelve.

Dyed film that has gone purple and brittle tends to come away in pieces, and every piece has to be lifted without scratching the glass. Older metallised film can take the adhesive off in sheets and leave the glue behind. Rear windows are the slow part on any car, because the defroster lines sit on the inside face of the glass and a scraper across them is a repair, not a tint job.

That spread is why there is no online slot for removal. We would rather ask you to ring than sell you a time we cannot keep.

If you are replacing the film at the same time

Say so when you ring. A retint — strip the old film and fit new — runs five to six hours, and we do not take those at weekends: five hours does not fit a day that runs nine to six with an hour for lunch.

Doing both on one visit is one conversation about your day instead of two.

Worth knowing
